We would like to welcome you in advance to First Christian Church. In order to make your experience the best it can be, we would like to offer some ways to show that we value you and hope to be able to make your visit a positive one.

Would you like to have someone contact you before your first visit? Or someone to meet you at church on Sunday morning to help navigate your way around? One of our Connection Guides would be happy to do so and can answer any questions you may have prior to your arrival. Click here to send an email to one of our guides, letting them know the best way to reach you.

Regardless if you choose to connect with a guide prior to your first visit, be sure to go to Guest Connections, at either entrance to the worship center, for any questions you may have and to pick up a guest bag, full of homemade goodies and information about our church.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear? Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Most people wear jeans but some wear dresses and suits.

Do you believe in baptism? Yes. We believe baptism by immersion is Biblical. Matthew 28: 18, 20; Romans 6:3-4

What will I experience during a Sunday morning service? You will experience a time of worship that connects with people across many generations. It includes times of singing (both hymns & choruses), Scripture reading, prayer and Communion. We choose to partake in Communion on a weekly basis to be constantly brought back to Christ as the center of our faith. You will also experience messages that are grounded solidly in God's Word and will help you grow in your walk with the Lord.

Who do I talk to if I want more information about First Christian Church? You can stop by Family Connections on Sunday morning, call the church office at 812.379.4491 or talk to any of church leaders. You can find pictures of the leadership here.

Can my children go to church with me?  Yes! Children are always welcome to attend services with you. We also have wonderful programming for kids (babies - 6th grade) during each service. You can find all the details here.

Where do I park? First Christian Church has several lots around the campus. Our Lafayette St. lot is for guests and seniors, Lot B also known as the DQ lot, behind the Youth Center and the lot right at Third & Lafayette. There is also street parking and several other lots around our building.

Where do I go into the building?  All four of our entrances are open on Sunday mornings. The best entrance would be our Lafayette Street doors. Guest Connections is right in the door and our great volunteers would be happy to help you get your kids settled, find the restrooms, get coffee and answer any questions you might have about the morning.
