Youth Ministry | Grades 7-12

Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it. Proverbs 22:6

There was a young boy named Tommy. He grew up being taken to church with his parents, where he learned about God and His love for him. He was taught Scripture. He watched how his parents and other people that went to church followed Jesus, even when it was difficult. He was directed onto the right path. There came a time when Tommy had to decide for himself, not because his parents or friends desiring him to, but for himself, that he wanted to follow Jesus.

There comes a time when every individual needs to choose on his or her own to follow Jesus. At First Christian,
we want to partner with parents to help direct young people like Tommy, so that when they are older,
they will continue to walk with Jesus on the right path.

The goal for Youth Ministry is for Middle & High School students to

Experience Jesus and to Extend the Message of Truth to others.

You aren't random. You were created as a masterpiece. Even when you don't feel like it, you're still unique. And you, as a masterpiece, were made by an incredible Master.

The idea of identity is a universal struggle. Every generation wrestles with it. Jr. high students sit at a pivotal moment in their lives where they are constantly asking the question "Who am I?" A student can't truly know who they are until they know who God is. And this year CIY's Believe tour will help Jr. high students understand what it means to find their identity in God.

You can pick up a registration form at Family Connections. Registration and deposit are due by February 28 with the balance due by March 28.
