Prayer Concerns and Praises

Here at First Christian Church, we believe in the power of prayer. Why? If we are going to Experience Jesus, then we clearly read in God's Word that prayer is something that Christians must do, because it deepens our relationship with Christ and causes us to be dependent upon Him. Prayer is simply a conversation that we have with God. He wants to hear about what concerns us, what brings us joy, what breaks our hearts and what we're wrestling with. In Colossians 4:2, the apostle Paul instructs us, "devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful." King David assures us by writing in Psalm 145:18, "The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth." We also know, that we follow Christ by hearing each other's burdens as it says in Galatians 6:2, "Share each other's burdens, and in this way obey the Law of Christ."
